We seem to be so busy this month that Septmeber has almost passed and we have barely given an update. All is well here. We are full swing into the school year, and everyone has adjusted really well. We have been having fun with our friends, having playdates and sleepovers, playing soccer, going to dance class, joining swim team, and trying out for the Nutcracker. It sounds like a lot, but everything has been really smooth. Gillian went to one dance class and decided that it wasn't for her. After three years of dance, she is taking an early retirement. She has decided that she likes ice skating and soccer better. Gabby has decided to try out for the swim team. They accepted her, but she has a lot of work to do. She is the youngest on the team and her strokes have not been refined, but it is really something that she has been looking forward to doing. She also decided to try out for the Nutcracker. The ballet/show will take place the first weekend of December. There were tons of students who tried out for the production. Gabby is going to be playing the role of a small mouse in the battle scene. Two of the Principal dancers from the New York City Ballet will also be dancing in the show with all the local students. The girls were doing some mask making to fulfill some requirements Gabby had for a Girl Scout badge that she is working on for art. Gillian picked up her last bag of books for the 1000 book program. She is very excited because she will be receiving her trophy sometime this week. That is the end of this update....more to follow!
