Once Upon A Dream

So.....Gabby sold a lot of Girl Scout Cookies....many thanks to all those who bought some...donated...etc. She had so much fun. We really felt a bit overwhelmed by the number that she sold....We weren't sure how we were going to deliver the cookies...We wondered if we would be driving around for days stalking people...waiting for their cars to be in the driveway. We had two snowstorms that made it possible for us to deliver almost every single box. Most people were snowed in with no where to go, so we took advantage and delivered most of the boxes. It was a fun experience to meet a lot of wonderful people in the surrounding neighborhoods. Gabby was really funny about the whole thing. Her favorite part of the whole experience....trying all the cookies. Her favorites are......(drum role)....tagalongs and samoas! The troop also had a chance to visit and play basketball with some ladies in a senior home.

Here are a few strange events that took place recently. Gabby has been obsessed with taking interesting photographs....for instance- the one below where she is leaping in front of the window. She was very specific about the light. She wanted to be a silouhette. Then, Gillian decided to do something a little bit funky with the scotch tape. Gabby also masterminded this gigantic snowman that lasted...less than a day. He was just so tall that his back would not hold him up for long. He slumped and his head and chest fell off within four hours.

Sometimes your Aunt Lena gives you some crazy light up shamrock's for St. Patty's Day...and your immediate response is to take this light up thingy into the bathroom and take pictures with the door closed. Don't you love it when that happens?

The night before the Oscar party was full of lots of wild partying. Gabby went to her first birthday party sleepover at a friend's house, Hannah! The rest of us went to Bombers and Villa Italia before it was time for Gilli and Bella to have their very own big girl sleepover in Gilli's room. They listened to a story and went right to sleep. What good little girls. They looked pretty funny the next morning!

All right...the truth is...these are pictures with the stars from the red carpet pre-show. We promised all the guests that we would respect their privacy....and we wouldn't post any pictures from the actual party.....

Whoever said, "Don't play with your food", doesn't live at our house.

We saw Annie at Proctors during today's Matinee. It was actually pretty much the same as the one we saw on Broadway in the mid 90's. The cast did a great job, and the girls loved seeing all the orphans sing and dance. After the play was over, we grabbed some dinner down town and waited for the parking garage to clear. To our surprise, Gabby spotted Annie (Madison Kerth) on our way out of the restaurant. She was really sweet to the girls. She signed their playbills and took some pictures. Was that lucky or what?

I really don't like this place (because of the germs)...however...some people in this family enjoy it (and the germs) as if it was a five star Gold Crown resort.

We went over to Dennis' house to have fun experimenting with science. Olga and Yuri put together a really special day...with observation folders...etc. We did experiments. We brainstormed and talked about WHY...it was awesome and we can't wait to do it again.

We got some special deliveries in the mail from Ohio and Pennsylvania. Thanks so much Grandpa Mike, Grandma Cathy, Aunt Lauren, and Uncle Chris. Gabby really loved the earrings, shirt.... and tons of lollipops. Grandma Darlene....she was trying so hard to read your card, and Gilli was just making so much noise (because she was excited). Meme and Papa...Thanks for the birthday surprises...and we are loving the clothes...(Did you see the girls with their sweatsuits in the picture....far below?) Our snow is now melted, so we are looking forward to using the Scaventure game. We will let you know when the soccer nets come in the mail! xoxoxo everyone!
