Once Upon A Dream

We had too much fun having Grammy here last week. Gabby was in school a lot so Gilli got to spend a lot of time playing with Grammy everyday. Gilli was studying apples in school....and here was one of her paintings.

We saw the Laurie Berkner Band in Ithaca, NY last weekend. The show is always fun! The band played a lot of well beloveds. The Apple Festival was going on in Ithaca...so we enjoyed some entertainment out in the streets after the concert. Gabby and Gilli enjoyed learning how to use a fire extinguisher....and putting out a real fire.

On Friday, we went to the Little House on the Prairie musical in New Jersey. Melissa Gilbert was playing the part of Ma Ingalls. Willie Oleson was played by Melissa's son, Michael. The rest of the cast was awesome. There was fabulous singing...and the dancing was fun, too. We bought the bonnets at the souvenier booth. The girls loved the show. Afterwards we were able to meet some of the cast and get some pictures and autographs.

We met up with family and friends to see Choo Choo Soul from Playhouse Disney. They were performing at the St. George Theatre in Staten Island. It was a great show....and Genevieve and DC were so talented and nice!

The first trip to see pumpkins....didn't buy any yet...but the pictures were priceless....

Some friends of ours have four boys....Matthew is in Gabby's grade....and Mark is Gilli's age. We love all the boys, but here are some pictures of Gilli and Mark at Soccer and taking a walk around the neighborhood. You can see Michael in one of the pictures also.

Fun...School projects!

Gabby and some of her Daisy sisters attended a tea party last weekend. They learned about tea and finger foods. They also learned about place settings, manners, and what not to do at a fancy event. Later in the evening, after much sugar consumption, Gabby and Sarah Jane turned into party girls in our front yard. Who knew it was so exciting to be out after dark/bedtime????

Despite how this meal may look....it was delicious. Meme made her annual spooky dinner. There were quite a few peculiar things on the menu, and it was difficult to get pictures of all the wonderful dishes before they were consumed. Thanks again for another spooky meal, Meme!

We visited our favorite fall farm this weekend with Grammy, Aunt Lena, and Bella. The corn maze was fun...but we really didn't complete it. There were so many fun things for the kids...and new things from last year. We always have fun at this place....

Meme and Papa came for another two visits on their way to Boston and on the way home. There was enough time for tea....

We had the annual Harvest Hoedown at Gabby's school last Friday. It was so much fun for the kids and parents. All the kids just loved running around with their friends. There were also a ton of games and activities. There was a DJ and doughnut eating contest....all the doughnuts in the world shivered in fright when they saw Gabby coming...(see the photo directly below on the right)....

We had a rather rainy Saturday this passed weekend. So we took the opportunity to carve our pumpkins. This year, both girls had to do letter "L". Gabby has gotten "G-A-B-R-I-E-L" so far and Gilli has gotten "G-I-L-L"....Doing the same letter was fast...and of course...the stuff to decorate pumpkins came out...it is only a matter of time before the most important question is asked, "Can I use glitter glue?"

Dave is heading back to school in January, and we took the girls over to his new campus to take a walk in the leaves. The campus is gorgeous.
