Will you eat them with a Fox?

Today was Dr. Seuss's birthday. Thing 1 and Thing 2 showed up for some Green Eggs and Ham. Technically it was green scrambled eggs and turkey bacon...but they didn't know. We read a lot of The Cat in the Hat today.... Some Dr. Suess favorites in this house include....The Lorax, The Grinch, and the Pale Green Pants with Nobody Inside Them. Hehehehe!

Candyland

We have a Candyland DVD game that is actually really fun and cute. We used the DVD for the first time we played, but we just play without it now. The girls have always loved the traditional Candyland, but this is fun because it allows them to move and jump around.

First Dentist Visit

Gillian had her first dentist visit today. I was very impressed by the office, staff, and doctors. I wish I had a dentist like this when I was a kid. The girls both liked it, and Gillian didn't want to go home after she was finished. Gabby had xrays of her teeth for the first time. Both girls got Oral Hygiene report cards. The Doctor said that they have both taken very good care of their teeth. Keep up the good work!

Gabby's 6th Birthday

We celebrated Gabriella's 6th birthday over the passed few days. She had a bowling party on Sunday, and invited the students in her class. Then she celebrated again at school today. She also has some special friends and family members who came up from Staten Island. She used a gift card from Grammy at Build A Bear yesterday, so we stuck that picture in, too!!!! Six years has gone way too fast!

Jessie's 6th birthday

Gabby's friend, Jessica, had her 6th birthday party today at Snip-Its. It was a really fun place to get haircuts or have glamour parties...which is what we did. Gabby got her hair, nails, and make-up done. Then she was interviewed and had to walk the red carpet....here they are all glammed up.

Mrs. Bacchia's Farm

Gabby's teacher, Mrs. Bacchia, has a farm that she owns and runs. She has rescued tons of animals, and Gabby got to meet many of them last Friday. Mrs. Bacchia is awesome, and we love her so much. Mrs. Bacchia gave Gab two duck eggs to take into school. She told Gabby that they were signs of spring. Here is Mrs. Bacchia with some of her animal friends.....

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Jessie came over to play today and have some green fun. We made cookies with the cookie cutter that we got from Lena, Tony, and Bella. They turned out delicious. Then we painted our nails green and used green face paint. There was lots of fun and playtime involved...and Jessie had to go home too quickly! More fun next time!

Goodbye Mr. Wiggly

Gabby lost her first tooth yesterday! It has been wiggly since before Christmas. She didn't even feel it come out yesterday because it was barely hanging onto her gum. She was extremely excited because she got to have the Tooth Fairy bag from school, and the Tooth Fairy herself would be making a stop at our house for the first time. We got the little tooth all ready. We read the books in her bag from school about teeth...etc. She got herself into bed nice and early.....and SURPRISE! at 1am this morning...I hear..."MOOOMMMMMM! MOOOMMMMM! I ran into Gabby's bedroom...and the Tooth Fairy had come! The tooth was gone! She left a dollar, a new fairy toothbrush, floss, Trident gum, and chap stick...everything for a sparkly smile! Gabby was ecstatic.

Turn off TV

Gabby's school celebrated Turn Off The TV week in conjunction with a book fair. As a part of the week long celebration, the school hosted a game and activity night for the students. Gabby met up with a bunch of friends, and they did a lot of art, paper folding, basketball, board games, snacks, stories...and science experiments. It was a really great idea for family fun.

Pinkalicious

We saw the theatrical version of Pinkalicious at the St. George Theatre in Staten Island last Friday. It was Pinkerific! The girls were mesmerized! The loved all the pink, and they loved meeting the cast after the play. Gabby got to see three of her Staten Island buddies...Tonianne, Ally, and Gianna! Thanks for the great birthday present Aunt Lena, Uncle Tony, and Isabella! xoxoxoxo

We had lunch with Aunt Mandy and Uncle Steve on Sunday afternoon. Uncle Steve made his special meatballs and pepperoni....and showed us his really super cool train that he has been working on for weeks. It was so cool...see for yourself. There was even a little church with a graveyard...and a pumpkin patch.

Mystery Bag

There is a Mystery Bag in Gabby's classroom. She got to bring it home last weekend. She chooses an object to put into the bag. She has to think of three clues to describe the object. The other students in her class can ask yes or no questions and make guesses. She and Uncle Steve came up with a cool object. They chose an old button from a New York City Police officer's uniform. Gabby was very excited about it. Her clues were 1) It is round 2) A police officer wears it. 3) He uses it to fasten his jacket.

Math Game night

Gabby's school held a math game night for Kindergarten through second grade. They used skittles, dice, and cards. Gabby took a picture with her principal, Mr. Anders, her friend, Faith, Mrs. Sogoian - the librarian, and many of the lower grade teachers. She had a lot of fun....especially because Daddy took her.

Race of a Lifetime

Gabby had a girls night at church on Friday night. The theme was "Race of a Lifetime". Her favorite part was playing all the relay games in the gym. She thought the one where she had to push the apple across the gym with her nose was the funniest. It was a late night, and someone was very tired when she got home!
