Once Upon A Dream

Here is a recent picture of the art project that we started awhile ago. Gabby's grew quite quickly, but Gillian's is taking its own good time. She has about seven blades coming up now. It looks funny!

We made cookies and valentines over the weekend.....that reminds me...I have to mail the valentines.

Gabby got a letter in the mail from Puerto Rico. It was so fascinating. Gabby was so excited. Thanks Luna! She also was invited over to her friend, Jessie's house to play this week. This was a big deal because she rode Jessie's bus and played for a couple hours before getting picked up by daddy! She is too big!

This project started out as rainbows and fish and turned into flowers and much more. I love to watch them create.

The PTO at Gabby's school sponsered some musician's/dance instructors to come for a few days to teach all the students during gym class. These guys played all kinds of insturments used around the world. They taught the children traditional dances from many countries. On Friday night, they held a huge family dance party in the gym. The students got to show off all that they learned and teacher their parents. It was a great way to spend a Friday together.

We got so many fun Valentine packages and cards in the mail. There was so much love in the mailbox. Thank you .....everyone. We had so much fun opening and using all the cool stuff that you sent...here are only a couple pictures.

They wished it was permanent!

Uncle Tim gave us a really cool art kit for Christmas. We decided to use it over vacation since we are starting to get in the mood for spring...and tulips!

Someone thought she was a big girl. Someone said she wasn't tired and didn't need a nap. One hour later...she fell asleep sitting straight up on the couch. She was just resting her eyes.

Since we are on Winter break this week, a bunch of mom's got together and met at the Children's museum for a huge playdate. After that we hit the library. There were five Kindergarteners....from Gabby's school and a ton of little brothers and sisters.

Dave's family came up to visit for the big Oscar Party weekend. The cousins had so much fun playing, and painting, baking, and doing fun things on Uncle Tony's iphone. There was even an attempted sleepover in the livingroom.

We had a few people over for the oscars....it was a star studded evening. We made sure that we had a lot of photo opps on the red carpet with all the nominees of the evening. Gabby filled out her first official oscar ballot. She got six categories correct thanks to Walle and Harvey Milk. She kept picking the movie "Milk" because she thought it sounded like a delicious drink.

Gabby was working on her drum solo with Kevin this week. She is planning to play her drum solo at school before the end of the year.

Aunt Lena, Uncle Tony, and Isabella gave Gabby an early birthday present when they were here for the Oscar Party....Pinkalicious and Purplicious clothes.. and tickets to the theatrical production! We go in a few weeks! EXCITING! Thanks so much...and here is a preview of us in some of our new clothes...xoxoxoxoxo

Gillian's lesson at school last Friday was all about teeth. She mostly enjoyed sticking all the little white rectangles/squares into the mouth with glue. This lesson came just in time because, she gets to go to her first dentist appointment on Monday!
