Once Upon A Dream

Last night, Gabby read a library book called, "The Best Kid in the World". A few nights ago when she read this, she made us laugh so hard that we had to give her an actual award. A little boy in the book got the "Best Kid in the World" award from his parents before his sister was born, and before his little sister finds this out, she says, "But what about me?".....Before we could read the line from the book, Gabby said the exact same line. Dave made the award for her and she was so surprised. The book was cute. Gabby and Ally played dress up at our house today. There was a whole lot of pink flying around. Gillian had fun at Gymboree with Daddy, Lena, and Isabella.

Gabby had a haircut today. She has already had many, but she got a couple inches off today. You can't really tell because her hair was so long to begin with, but she was really excited and impressed. She loves to go to Snip-ity Doo-Dah.

Everyone had a great time at Aunt Lena and Uncle Tony's Superbowl party. We are sad to say that the Seahorses did not last long enough for their first Superbowl experience....RlP. There were tons of people and food, and not a lot of watching the game. Our pictures were not that great either, but here are a couple that were salvagable. Isabella was looking stunning in her Jets attire. She was a little tired in this picture and ready for bed. Is that Aunt Maria (Tony's sister) holding her? Gillian says, "touchdown....Colts!"....Really she was doing "So Big" for mommy. Gabby had fun playing air hockey all night, and she posed for a picture with her two "favorite" friends of the night, Jessica and Nicole. Nicole was the flower girl in Lena and Tony's wedding, and we haven't seen them in over a year.

Gillian and Gabby have been a part of several research studies at the CSI/CUNY (College of Staten Island/City University of New York) here on Staten Island. Currently they are involved in a sibling study, and Gillian had to go for an experienced crawler study today. She had to go through tunnels and nets with her little onesie on while being video taped. It is interesting and fun. These pictures were all taken during a re-enactment....when the clinical part was finished. The Prof's assistants were very good sports and had a great time posing with Gillian in her pictures.

Gabby has had a new hair do that mysteriously pops up once in awhile. It was out in full force today.

Gabby and Daddy made a tasty dinner tonight. Gabby has become very good at making meatball boli's. Here are some pictures of her in action.

Gillian discovered that Gabby had a crib full of baby dolls under her loft bed. She was amazed by this.....We are not sure why. She stayed by the crib for about an hour just babysitting the baby dolls. We finally had to pry her away to get her ready for church. There is a picture of Gillian at church...with her baby boyfriend, Anthony. After church, Aunt Lena, Uncle Tony, and Isabella gave us some special Valentine's. There is a picture of Gillian with her kissing frog, and there is a picture of Gabriella with her kissing frog and her personalized cake. MMMMM thank you...guys!

Gabby had a Valentine party today at preschool. She even got to mail all of her Valentine's in the class mailbox. She loved it. She made Mrs. Valentine in school today. Afterward, Anita and Gianna came over to play. Gillian had just woken up from her nap and eaten lunch. She was excited to play with the big girls. She crawled over to Anita and plopped herself down onto Anita's knee like it was her perch. She sat there for awhile watching Gabby and Gillian. It was so funny. Somehow...everytime someone comes to play...we end up dressing up. Today, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, and Cinderella came to visit.

Gillian turned 9 months old today! She is fastly becoming an independent little girl. She is almost walking (holds onto us with one hand)....and she is starting to talk like crazy. She is such a funny and happy girl.

Dave took the day off to spend Valentine's Day with us. The weather was not so nice, but we went out anyway. After making a few stops, we went to Chelsea Playground so that the girls could play. They had a great time. We weren't sure if Gillian would be able to enjoy it because she is still young, but she was into everything. When we got home, Gabby played in the snow. Then we baked Valentine cakes....small, medium, and large....(No....Gillian didn't have cake, but she did manage to get icing on her finger and eat it.) Thank you to everyone for the candy, balloons, cards, gifts, and goodies....

The girls did some snow tubing over at Miller Field today....(The park across the street). It was really slippery. The snow was like ice. They liked it anyway. So did the geese.

Sometimes you just have to blow bubbles in the house. Especially when it is too cold to play outside.

Gabby and Gillian's Aunt Lauren (Natalie's youngest sister) became the Homecoming Queen at Fairlawn High School at the beginning of February. Isn't she beautiful? She is talented, too. Congratulations, Aunt Lauren!

Our annual Oscar Party was held last night. It was Gillian and Isabella's first. Everyone stayed up late including all the little cuties. The girls enjoyed the funny glasses, and Gillian tried to eat everyone's candy necklaces.

Ally came over to play with Gabby today. One of the things that they did was fingerpaint. They came up with the great idea to do a high five with the paint. It was fun and messy. We also got a little bit of snow.

Gillian loves cheerios...We just found this out...
