Once Upon A Dream

We went to St. Marys, Pa...on Decemeber 28th. The girls got to help Meme celebrate her 58th birthday! Gillian and Gabby enjoyed the 5 hour trip in the car and celebrating with Meme. They also got to open more presents!

The girls got to meet their friend, Hailey....who they see on the computer all the time. (Natalie grew up next door to Amy....Hailey's mom). Hailey was even cuter in person than she was in these pictures. You can check out her blog at..... LadyBug Picnic

Then...Uncle Tim came over....He is so much fun!

We had many days of fun during Christmas in St. Marys. Here are some shots of the girls during the festivities. Gabby is wearing one of her new dress up outfits (Genevieve from the 12 Dancing Princesses)...and Gillian has on her new pajamas from Aunt Pat, Uncle Tony, and Joe out in California....

We spent New Year's Day at Aunt Becky and Uncle Louie's house. Then we drove home to NYC. Some of our yearly traditions include....finding the pickle ornament on the Christmas tree. Gabby and Kaily won gift cards to walmart for finding the ornament so quickly. Another tradition is the pizzelle eating contest. This year, Nicole was the champion. The object is to eat around the decorative flower on the cookie without breaching the border. After three minutes, the contestant with the most intact cookie center wins....It is more difficult than it sounds and a lot of fun.

Gabby and Grammy took a bus ride with Uncle Kevin today. It was the highlight of the day....take a look at the distinguished driver!

All Gillian wants to do is crawl and walk....(be walked around held by the hands). She is on the go and into everything. You can imagine how difficult it is to get anything else done. She had a great time at Gymboree today where she was allowed to go anywhere and touch everything.

Do other people have messy kids at dinner time, or is it just the Pizzolo's?

We actually saw dandelions blooming in Staten Island this morning. It was the strangest thing. They probably couldn't help themselves because it was already 70 degrees at 10am. I am not sure exactly how warm it got today. We took advantage of the weather and walked to the beach.

Today was Gabby's first time ice skating. She has been interested in it for a long time, but we weren't sure if she was ready for it. She had to hold our hands the whole time, but she did very well for a beginner.....it was mom, dad, and aunt Mandy who were really rusty. The adults had to take turns holding her hands because all of our feet were hurting so much. At times, I think she was holding/helping us....Here are some shots, and there is one of Gabby with her friend, Alyssa, from church today.

Gabby had her first dance class of the new year yesterday. She got to wear one of her new outfits that she got from Grammy for Christmas. She was loving it, and hamming it up. As soon as class was over, the tutu went on the head.....

Gillian mastered the tunnel yesterday. She was loving it. The best was when Gabby was chasing her from the back they laughed so much. Here are some action shots.

Aunt Lena, Uncle Tony, and Isabella gave us a Gingerbread Christmas Tree. Gabby and Meme put it together last night for desert. It was delicious!

We have a new baby cousin. Connor Joseph Chubbuck was born at 5:41pm on January 9th. He weighed 6lbs. and 6oz. He was 22 inches long. Here are some shots that Papa took of Connor while he was sun bathing.....He is so cute! He is already smiling and hamming it up for the camera.

Gabby went to Ava's birthday party today at Chelsea Playground. There were tunnels and different theme rooms for children to play together. The rooms that Gabby loved the most were the ballet room and the theatre room that had dress up clothes. Most of all she loved the tunnel and rock wall. There are also some shots of Gabby's friends from dance class...Samantha, Ally, Lauren, and the birthday girl, Ava.

It has been an interesting time at the Pizzolo household. We have two sick little girls again. Gillian is currently getting over a double ear infection, and Gabby is sniffling a little, too. Aunt Mandy had a photo shoot with them today. Gabby's shoot was impromptu. She was still dressed up from church.

What do children do indoors when it is January and they are not feeling well....Here are some things happening around here....

Here are two alien robots, and the third is Larry the Cucumber with his high silk hat...(I do realize that she looks like Freddie Krueger, but she has no idea...it was unintentional)

Barbie and Belle showed up yesterday for awhile. The letters in the bathroom are how we are getting Gab to write in a straight line. She is convinced that letters are written and read in a circle. This fabulous 5 star meal was created by Gabby and Meme last week.

Gillian is climbing everything....including her learning home that she got for Christmas.

Can you really say that your child helps with laundry if she picks it out of the pile, licks it, and throws it on the floor? Luckily these clothes were brand new and not nasty.....

Gillian has always been a very mild mannered/layed back kind of baby. Lately she has become more vocal and aggressive towards what she wants. Sometimes she will have a temper tantrum for a split second. Aunt Mandy came over for lunch today and brought some brownies. Gillian was really trying to get them. Everytime we moved the brownies away from her she cried. So we gave her one......(not a real one)... We got a fake one out of Gabby's kitchen set and Gillian was as happy as could be. As you can see....she didn't know the difference....She was just glad to be a part of the brownie club....

Gillian, Gabby and Isabella had a great time under the parachute at Gymboree. Gabby stopped in to say hello to Ms. Fran who she loves and misses so much.

Isabella and Aunt Lena came over today for a playdate. Aunt Mandy stopped by with some delicious pizza.....Girl Party! Gabby helped to feed Isabella her lunch....

Gabby was invited to play at Ally's house today. She and Ally are friends from dance school. They had a great time playing dress up, putting on tattoos, playing Hullabaloo....etc.

We had a funny weekend. Nothing major to report. The girls played at home, and we went to Aunt Lena and Uncle Tony's house on Saturday. They got a new fish tank, and it has beautiful seahorses....

Gabby got a digital camera for Christmas from Aunt Mandy and Uncle Steve. Here is a shot of her taking pictures, and there is also a shot that she took of Amanda with her camera.

Last is a picture of the girls drinking milk (of some sort). Gabby was drinking hers. Gillian saw her, and she grabbed her cup and went over to drink with her. It was so cute. Gabby literally fell asleep like this tonight...

Gillian was out in her first snow today. We had a slight dusting a few weeks ago, but by the time she woke from her morning nap....it had already melted. It was very cold and windy, so we only stayed outside for a short time. The girls loved it. Gillian tried to flop down on her belly and lick the snow (her classic move), and Gabby had fun making snowballs and snow angels.

Gillian and Gabby woke up way too early this morning. They had a lot of time to play before Gabby went to school. Somehow they were laughing together on the couch this morning, and they continued the game when Gabby got home. It was cute.

Many thanks to Luna and the dancers in Puerto Rico who thought of Gabby and sent this dance team dress back to New York with Grammy.....Gabby loves it and danced in it all night. She was a little upset when we made her remove it before she ate her dinner. ("XOXOXO Te Amo" - From Gabriella)

Gillian had her first ponytail today. It was a very special occasion. She held very still, which was really strange for her. She's always busy exploring as fast as she can. Here is our "big girl".
