Once Upon A Dream

The girls took a trip over to Brooklyn today to visit Nana Nuzza. She is Gabriella and Gillian's Paternal Great Grandmother. She was so happy to see them, and they loved seeing her. Gabby helped put new flowers out for Nana, and she prayed for Nana's boo boo's with Grammy. Here are some pictures of the girls and Isabella at Nana's house.

Grammy took Gabby into Manhattan to the South Street Seaport for a little trip today. They met up with Grampy who was working security. Here are a few pictures from the day.

Gillian has hit one of those dramatic milestones. She is still a baby, but she is not a little tiny baby. We had to retire the baby carrier last weekend. She sits in the big stroller. She is in the large car seat. She sat in a big girl high chair at the restaurant today, and she was trying to crawl out of the chair at Aunt Mandy and Uncle Steve's house earlier in the day. Uncle Steve took her into the computer room to listen to Sinatra and Italian music. She didn't know what to think about that. She also had a great time voting today....however...this was not her first time. (She showed up for the primaries last month.)

Aunt Mandy and mom took us on this nature walk along the beach cliffs of Mt. Loretto. Here is what we learned:
The New York state mammal is the beaver, insect is the lady bug, tree is the Sugar Maple, gem is the Garnet, shell is the Bay Scallop, bird is the Bluebird, and flower is the Wild Rose.

We had an exciting trip to the Central Park Zoo today. The foliage was prime. Gabriella had her first carriage ride. She thought that she was Sleeping Beauty going to the ball. After our carriage ride, we stopped over at FAO Schwartz. There was a life sized stuffed Woolley Mammoth for only $12,000. Shockingly, we didn't buy it.

Gillian turned six months old today. We are so proud of her. She is such a happy, funny, and mellow baby. She is moving everywhere. She gets around the room by rolling and belly crawling. She figured out how to start her mobile in her crib with her feet. We are just amazed proud parents. She started solids a couple days ago. She loves it. Aunt Amanda took her pictures yesterday.

We celebrate half birthdays in our family. Since Gillian and Isabella turned 6 months last week, we had a half birthday party for them over at Lena and Tony's house. It was so funny. Milena made half birthday cakes for the babies. Isabella was inquisitively checking out the cake, and Gillian couldn't keep her fingers off of it. There is a picture of her with purple icing on her hand. We had to wash her off a couple times, and we were trying so hard to keep her far enough away but still in the picture. Gillian also had a major accident out the back of her diaper, so her outfit changes a little toward the end of the pictures. Gabby really enjoyed the pink cake. Her tongue was so bright pink after she was finished that she was practically glowing in the dark in the van on the way home. Happy 1/2 Birthday to Isabella and Gillian....may you have countless more!

Gillian started solids this month. She loves it despite these funny faces and messy clothes. Her favorite so far is squash.

We are leaving for Pennsylvania tomorrow morning. We will be spending Thanksgiving in St. Marys. Happy Thanksgiving to you all, and we will catch up after the holiday. Here are some cute shots of the girls in their Thanksgiving dresses. Gobble til you Wobble!

A couple years ago, Gabby had her Christmas pictures taken with her cousin, Kailey. It is becoming a tradition to do this during Thanksgiving vacation. Here is a picture from two years ago and a few from last week.

Gillian is experiencing her first cold. We are happy that she made it 6 1/2 months without one. She is on the downside now. Here is a picture of her just wanting to be held. Poor baby!
